Choosing a Solicitor?

As a regular subscriber to Which magazine, I was immensely gratified to see the booklet enclosed which their latest issue dealing with “Planning your Next House Move”

They recommend choosing specialists to carry out the legal work and say that solicitors offer a wider range of legal services than conveyancers and, as such, can sometimes cost a little bit more. They say if you opt for a solicitor, choose one with plenty of experience in conveyancing transactions – well, that is one box ticked with us!

They go on to say that you should not feel that you have to use your estate agents’ in-house conveyancing service or any external companies they recommend. “Don’t make your decision based purely on price, as any mistakes could end up costing a lot more than the amount you save by choosing the cheapest option”.

By choosing a local firm of solicitors, you also ensure that you can have ready-access to their services and the personnel involved in your case, which is invaluable as those who have been endlessly on the telephone to factory conveyancing organisations will attest.

If you are interested in a house move and want to know all the details, including an estimate please contact any member of our property team or myself.
