Who Will Look After Your Affairs?

Who Will Look After Your Affairs If You Can't
Now Is The Time To Consider This

Lasting Powers of Attorney were first launched two years ago, but have now been simplified.
No one likes to think that there may come a time when we are getting too frail to look after our own affairs, whether through a sudden accident or illness, or maybe just because of gradually advancing years.  Whatever the cause, who would pay your bills, manage your savings or even speak on your behalf on medical matters?
It is important that you nominate someone you trust NOW, to make important decisions on your behalf in the future.
This nomination can be done by making a Lasting Power of Attorney ("LPA").  This legal document lets you choose who you want to manage things for you, such as a relative or a friend.  To make a Lasting Powers of Attorney you must be mentally capable, so putting it off now may mean that it cannot be done later.
Without a Lasting Powers of Attorney, you and your family could face problems if something happens to you. Many people assume that a close family member can simply make decisions for them. However, this is not the case. If you are not able to make your own decisions due to incapacity, your family may have to apply to the Courts to have someone appointed to act on your behalf.
This can be time consuming, costly and stressful on the family.
