Robert Mitchell

Senior Solicitor

Robert qualified as a solicitor in 1990, having spent his time since studying at Oxford University working in London. He joined Beviss & Beckingsale in 2015.

As well as practising as a solicitor he has also enjoyed spells lecturing on the solicitors’ vocational course at the University of Exeter and Plymouth University.

Robert is a private client lawyer, specialising in wills, inheritance tax planning, setting up and advising on trusts, administering estates and trusts, creating powers of attorney and acting under these powers, applying for appointment of deputies, and acting as a deputy.

He likes to find practical solutions to technical problems and help his clients to understand enough of the relevant law to make decisions that they can be comfortable with.

Robert is a long-standing member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Robert’s primary interest outside of law is music, especially playing the pipe organ. He also enjoys dabbling in maths.
