Government provides update on Ash Archive initiative

Posted by Mark Carlisle on January 24th 2020 in AGRICULTURAL AND RURAL AFFAIRS .

On 17 January 2020, the government provided an update on its Ash Archive initiative. The initiative, which was aimed at maintaining and restoring ash in the British landscape following the Ash dieback disease outbreak, has successfully planted 3,000 trees in Hampshire. The initiative will continue to monitor the tolerance to the disease of the trees, removing the damaged ones and replacing them with newly-identified tolerant ones.
