Rural Crime Survey

Posted by Mark Carlisle on June 12th 2018 in AGRICULTURAL AND RURAL AFFAIRS , All .

The 2018 National Rural Crime Survey, of crime and anti-social behaviour in rural communities across England and Wales, is now open and closes on Sunday 10 June. The National Rural Crime Network produces a series of recommendations to the police and is funded by 28 Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs).

The National Rural Crime Survey aims to measure the personal, social and economic cost of rural crime and anti-social behaviour across the country. The last survey took place in 2015, when 13,000 people responded to give their impressions of crime and anti-social behaviour. Results revealed that the financial cost of rural crime to the country was significant, totalling an estimated £800 million every year.
