Robert Mitchell qualified as a solicitor in 1990, having spent his time since studying at Oxford University and working in London. He joined Beviss & Beckingsale Solicitors in 2015.
As well as practising as a solicitor he has also enjoyed spells lecturing on the solicitors’ vocational course at Exeter University and Plymouth University.
Robert has practised as a private client solicitor for over 20 years. His expertise includes: wills, Inheritance Tax planning, setting up and advising on trusts, administering estates and trusts, creating powers of attorney and acting under these powers, applying for appointment of deputies and acting as a deputy.
He likes to find practical solutions to technical problems and help his clients to understand enough of the relevant law to make decisions that they can be comfortable with.
Robert has been a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 1996 and is a member of the Law Society’s Private Client Section.
Robert’s primary interest outside law is music, especially playing the pipe organ. He also enjoys dabbling in maths.
